Hello Equinox... my old friend(?)

I've spent the past 3 days slowly updating a small painting I did 5 or 6 years ago. I'm a completely untrained artist (didn't even take it in highschool) and I'm OK with that.

When I first made it part of the idea I was going for was something like an upside down heart with venous vessels as branches:



However, as the years went on it started to bug me -- especially because this was based on a real silvery tree that was important to me in the world -- that it was a naked tree (and also that it had a ghostly stake instead of a wooden one) so I made these updates:



It could surely still do with more work (maybe next year) but for now I'm happy that for the first day of Fall I've put leaves onto my tree.
