Is the coincidence that it's death was close enough to the one time I write stuff that I could actually tidily write about it or that it died at the seasonal time of death? :)

Motion Twin is the company that created D2N (and Mush and Rockfaller and all the other games you could find on Twinoid). The flashpocalypse failed to take out Twinoid as the first release of that community-led project (Eternal Twin) was a browser that could still run Flash but only on Twinoid properties.
