Confounded Time

It never ceases to amaze me how poor a grip I have on when things happened. I was noting at a New Year's Party that I thought I'd not had any additional catastrofucks since end of October except the last time I was journaling it was Nov. 10th and I happen to know there were 2 additional horrors after that (I think, in my mind, I pushed them a month further back to the end of October when they actually unfolded by end of November).

Since I have such a poor time grip (poorer than most in my experience!) I'm actually going to try and write here a bit more frequently to see if it helps with my slippery sense.

Speaking of Time and New Years I was doing a fairly Janus-themed New Year this year by traversing the city to (for the most part) meaningful intersections of the past 20 years I've been in the city. The key dots are blue ones, each with at least 2 pictures of a streetcar coming (taken on an old digital camera) and a streetcar going (taken with a cell). One or two blue dots have bonus pictures, as do any green dots.

I don't expect either the dots or the pictures that go with them will be fantastically interesting to any viewers but I do hope that over the course of the year I'll say a bit about each of them by way of practice writing here and hopefully that will be a bit more engaging. :)

Neat project. Reminds me of waiting for the Long Branch car on many occasions. D has this ridiculously good eyesight where he could consistently tell if it was a Long Branch car before anyone else at the stop.
