I scheduled writing today so my usual incoherent angst about writing here is absent. Work was nuts-level busy since my last post (annual fundraiser, org-wide retreat, closing year end, issuing tax receipts, working on massive systems change, etc.) and will continue to be nuts-level busy through April (as this is when our new ED will officially start). When it comes to lingering tasks from that January post that are making me feel Terribly Guilty the worst of these are:

1. Reading the rest of the Golden Mile transportation plan (I'm halfway through)
2. Personal email catch-up
3. Crap to do with my mortgage
4. Minor household bric-a-brac (set-up a new modem, deal with TO Hydro)
5. Write here more like I wanted to (a-hahahahah).

It's worse in my own notebook where I have the emails, mortgage and household stuff out as much longer lists but at least it looks very doable here. I have struck a pile of tasks off the list since January so these things really are just the leftovers.

Alright, next up: since I've still got a good 30 mins of scheduled writing to go I'm going to see if I can polish off a post I started writing more that half a year ago and get #5 closer to resolved (you'll know that one is caught up after I make my so-called 'Nice Lifey Post' that includes 2019).

When it comes to that general function of putting flags in the ground I'll put the flag in that Canada hopped into taking Covid-19 seriously on Thursday and that by Friday our current ED had told us to all start working from home whenever possible (and this, for me, is eminently possible) so off I go with that next week.

Yay for scheduling writing. And lists. I find lists really help.
